Critical Firmware for RAK Boards
If using a RAK board for a repeater, you must update it to the OTAFIX bootloader firmware. Without this fix, a failed OTA update can "brick" the device, requiring physical access to recover.
Antenna Recommendation
Stock antennas perform poorly for long-range mesh. It is recommended to upgrade to at least the ALFA 5.8 dBi (AOA-915-5ACM) for backbone nodes.
